Tips for Stitching Lawn

Before you cut, wash a small corner of the fabric to check shrinkage, and ask your tailor to measure the fabric lengths from the product page. Lawn is light, so it needs a light interlining only at the neck and hem.

Measuring Before You Stitch

A standard lawn suit uses about 2.5 metres for the shirt, 2.5 metres for the dupatta and 2.5 metres for the trouser. Longer or wider cuts need more, so always compare the lengths on the product page with your tailor's requirement before ordering.

Ask your tailor to pre-wash the fabric if you plan to wash the suit often. Lawn can shrink a little at first wash, and pre-washing keeps the fit exact.
